This is one of the most different places I have been into. The inside really needs updating and the staff you can tell have been there for a long time. You are most likely going to see someone there who is an owner whither it be the Son or the Father, usually one of them are there looking after the shop.

Even though it is a pretty beat up restaurant it just has this following and when the students are on campus at Laurier it has a very good following. If you have never tried their small fries, I suggest you bring a friend. For less than $5.00 you can get a take out container that would fit a full meal full of French Fries. The one item I keep hearing about that is delicious is their Chicken Finger Sub. It doesn't matter if you are getting a Sub, Hot Dog or a Chicken Finger Sub you get a giant bun and can put any toppings you want on it. My favourite meal currently is an old fashioned Foot Long Hotdog and Fries. This meal could be enough for two people but I can manage to eat it because of how delicious it is. It is a lot of bun to eat because the Hot Dog by no means is large but it still tastes delicious once you stuff all of your toppings inside.

Another chart topper for Admiral is their Burgers! Make sure you know what you're getting into when you order a double because you are getting pretty much a pound of meat. It is very delicious but hard to finish. I am interested to see when they open up the new burger joint beside the Postal Office and the Convenience Store on Dalhousie Street if Admiral can keep its reputation as one of the best burgers in town.

I give Admiral Submarine 7/10. The food is delicious but they could clean up the place a little bit to make it more inviting.
